Highlights included appearances in France, Switzerland, Germany,  Argentina, Israel, Hawaii and California. Dave headlined the 2011 Chicago Blues Festival and also played the 2012 Chicago Blues Festival's Tribute to Hubert Sumlin.


Highlights included Dave's performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with Jimmy Johnson.

European tours with appearances in Germany, Denmark, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland and Poland. Highlights included Dave's return to the Lucerne Blues Festival and performances in Barcelona and Warsaw.

Dave and his band were featured on the award winning DVD: Delmark Records 55th Anniversary: It Ain't Over. Winner of the National Blues Award (BMA) for Best Blues DVD.


Highlights included Dave's performance at the NAMM show in Los Angeles with Steve Freund and Chicago performances with Lurrie Bell, Billy Flynn, Jeff Parker and Jimmy Johnson

Highlights included performances in Switzerland, Germany and France including shows on the French Riviera.


Highlights included Specter returning to Hawaii and performing at Wiamea Falls Park and the Red Elephant with The Dynamic Shuffle Kings.

Dave Specter's Blues Jazz Summit debuted at Chicago's Millennium Park with a 12 piece band in front of a crowd of 5000 fans.

Specter hosted the jam stage at the Chicago Blues Festival for the second consecutive year performing with many special guests including Steve Freund, Kenny Smith, Aron Burton, Eb Davis & Harlan Terson.

Specter performed with Robert Cray at The College of DuPage in Illinois and returned to Mexico performing in Puebla with the Blues Divas featuring Katherine Davis, Sharon Lewis and Peaches Staten.


Highlights included 2 tours of Mexico with appearances at The 10th Mexico City Blues Festival and the Ruta 61 blues club.

Specter also returned to Switzerland where he performed at the Geneva Blues Summit with R&B caravan, Lurrie Bell and Sugar Ray & the Bluetones

Specter hosted the jam stage at The Chicago Blues Festival performing with many special guests including Calvin "Fuzz Jones, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Aron Burton an many others.

Specter also produced and performed at the Weber Grill Blues & BBQ Festival in Chicago with Tad Robinson, Koko Taylor & Lonnie Brooks.


Highlights included a performance at The Geneva Blues Summit in Switzerland w/ Steve Freund, Harlan Terson & Mike Schlick.

Specter and Freund also performed at the 2005 San Francisco Blues Festival with special guests Ken Saydak and Shirley Johnson.

2005 also saw Dave touring London and Southern England w/ The Daniel Smith Blues Band.


Dave's July 4th show at Fitzgerald's with Lurrie Bell named to WXRT Chicago's 5 best blues concerts of 2004.

In October 2004 Dave performed 2 weeks at The Lionel Hampton Room in Le Meridian Etoile in Paris, France w/ Jimmy Burns, Rob Waters, Marty Binder & Nora Jean Bruso

In January 2004 Dave Specter toured England with top British blues band Sonny Black and the Dukes (click on the picture for a larger view). Dave and Sonny were invited to perform at the BBC London Studios and were interviewed on the Paul Jones national blues radio show.

The Dave Specter "Hammond Organ Summit" with Rob Waters, Chris Foreman, John Brumbach and Mike Schlick at the 2001 Chicago Blues Festival.

Dave, Rob Waters & Marty Binder also performed at the Best Buy stage at both the 2002 & 2003 Chicago Blues Festivals.

The June 2003 European tour with B.B & the BluesShacks. Highlights included performances in the Swiss Alps, Luxembourg and Germany.

In March 2003, Dave hit the West Coast and performed 5 shows with fellow Delmark recording artist Steve Freund and his band.

Highlights included a sold out show at San Francisco's Biscuits & Blues nightclub and a performance in Cotati, CA for the Sonoma County Blues Society where Joe Louis Walker and Howie Specter sat in with the band.

In May 2002, Dave along with Tad Robinson, Rob Waters, Harlan Terson and Marty Binder performed at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia at a benefit concert for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, sponsored by Forest Pharmaceuticals. Also performing were Keb Mo' and Kenny Wayne Sheperd

In May 2001, Dave along with Tad Robinson, Rob Waters, Harlan Terson and Marty Binder performed at the House of Blues in New Orleans at a benifit concert for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, sponsored by Forest Pharmaceuticals. Also performing on the bill were Dr. John and C.J. Chenier.
